Permit expiry
All ACROD Parking Permits have an expiry date.
Depending on your circumstances you may be able to renew your permit.
Renewable permits are issued to applicants who meet the eligibility criteria and their condition is expected to last for the rest of their life despite treatment and therapy options. Renewable permits are issued for 2 years.
Permit renewal
Renewal notices are sent out to permit holders 4 weeks prior to the expiry of your ACROD Parking Permit.
It is important to contact the ACROD Parking Program team to notify if you change your address, to ensure you receive your renewal notice.
Please note, if you do not renew your permit within 6 months after the expiry date, you must re-apply for a new permit. Please visit the How to apply page for the link to the application form and additional information.
Temporary permit extension
Temporary permits are issued to applicants who meet the eligibility criteria, and their condition is expected to improve, or may improve in the future. Temporary permits are issued for 6 or 12 months and can be extended once.
Temporary permit holders are eligible for an extension of their ACROD Parking Permit if they still meet the eligibility criteria.
Please note:
- The extension request must be for the same condition
- Temporary permits can only be extended once
- An extension cannot be granted if your temporary permit has expired by more than 8 weeks.
